Hi all

just wondering if anyone has made a game_install for non GS games

were u have a game named 2001.swf in your swf/upload
and then you have a img named 2001.png in your images/upload

and if we ran the game_install.php it would search for these uninstalled games and images, put them together and add them to the site?

its a pain adding each game 1 by 1, just wondering lol

Hey,

The biggest problem with that is what category, name, and description to give the games. You could write something that figures out what files haven't been installed (in theory, anything in swf/upload hasn't been installed anyway). But, you'd need a way of entering the name, description, category, and other particulars. You could do this directly in phpMyAdmin or write an SQL file to do it, which, depending on your level of proficiency with that stuff, may or may not be faster than using the admincp.

If you've got all the details in a DB or spreadsheet or something, you could write a script to import it which wouldn't be too, too tedious, but, otherwise, either way you've gotta type it all out.

It can be done but only if you know what your doing and you need php/mysql skills for that.
